Good Morning Crafters, here I am today with my last Cheery Lynn card for 2012, as we are taking a break for a couple of weeks, to relax, enjoy the holidays with friends and family and for me to get re-organized again.....my favorite time after Christmas - reorganizing my crafting bits and bobs, making room for yet more crafting goodies.
For my card today I followed the theme of the weekly challenge which is "Lots of Layers".
I started off with a 7.5inch x 7.5 inch card, then made my first white layer using the Pearl Square Mega Reflection Boutique Die, I then cut some pretty blue Christmas paper for the next layer, and then cut a layer of brown kraft cardstock using a smaller Pearl Square die and another square cut of beige Christmas words paper. I topped that layer with the Mexican tile pattern square of which I cut another kraft cardstock for underneath it so it would stand out even more. I then used a Penny Black snowman image on top, colored with Copics.
I've created some falling snow with a Viva Decor ice white pen, and added my favorite Stardust Stickles for his hat and the snow. I've cut out a laced pine snowflake cut in half to fit underneath the Mexican tile pattern. I've also added some matching twine underneath and finished it off with a hummingbird die and some more beige pearls from the viva decor pen.

I really like the soft colors on this and the delicate snowflakes.
Love your card, Donna! I really like the pale aqua and white in combination with the tan and brown. So, how did you like The Hobbit? I went to see it in IMAX 3D too and thought it was awesome. Hard to believe Peter Jackson was able to glean 3 movies from the shortest of the 4 books though. He enjoys keeping us hanging, I think! LOL
